Gemini Untwined in Action

Medical Teams

If you have a case of craniopagus twins (CPT), we can help.
Our team has advised on the separation and care of craniopagus twins since 2006.

For most neurosurgeons, it will be their first case of CPT.

Because cases are so rare, they will invariably draw an interest from your peers and often the wider public (including press and media). We completely understand the pressure you will be under and are here to help.
At Gemini Untwined, our core mission is to ensure that every CPT, born anywhere in the world, has access to the best medical advice and care.

To do this, we would first have a video call with you to understand the case. Then we have a process to determine if, how, when, and where to perform the separation surgery in the safest way possible for the babies.

Depending on different factors, this could mean we advise your clinical team from London, we travel to perform the surgery with you at your centre, or the twins and their family travel to be treated in London.
As the safest window to perform the surgery is within six to twelve months of life, we ask that you contact us as early as possible and ideally as soon as they are born.

The parents of Yigit and Derman hold their sons post-surgery, and look at the camera. Hospital equipment is in the background.

Families

As parents, we do everything we can to protect our children.

So, we understand how worried you may be, and how helpless you may feel, to learn that you – or someone you know – will be having cranial-conjoined twins. Although this condition is very rare, you are not alone.

We have been helping cranial-conjoined twins and their families since 2006.

We have already helped five families in a similar position around the world. Each are now home in their countries with two separate children.

We would like to help you and your children too. You can contact us directly or ask your doctor to get in touch on your behalf.
